We are seeking a Controls- /​ Automation Engineer (m/​f /​d) to join our team.

In the role of Controls-​/​ Automation Engineer, you will be working with a highly motivated cross-​functional R&D team, consisting of mechanical, simulation and software engineers, in order to ensure the development of a cutting-​edge technology, and building the company’s first industrially certified product.

Your responsibilities

• Work closely and in collaboration with the Control, Simulation and Electronic Engineers, developing specifications and the subsequent Software/​Hardware control solution requirements
• Communicate with the test engineers to help support efficient testing requirements
• Communicate and coordinate with control HW & SW suppliers to specify and acquire quotes for commercial solutions required for the Traila system
• Support the integration and debug processes for the project, as required and on schedule
• Understand and execute all company standard operating procedures related to a safe machine design and build process.
• Field testing of the system and data evaluation

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering (BEng /​ MEng)
• Experience in industrial automation using PLC’s for development of control systems
• Strong skills in MATLAB/​Simulink and data analysis , other languages such as Python or C# are a plus.
• Knowledge in developing application for embedded systems using C/​C++
• Ability to work across many different platform architectures and situations, including learning new programming languages and platforms when needed
• Interdisciplinary knowledge in electronics, software, mechanics
